Apple testing slow-motion camera mode for future iPhone?

Hidden code behind Apple’s latest iOS 7 beta suggests that the company may be testing a slow-motion video setting.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple is “actively working” on the feature codenamed “Mogul”, but couldn’t confirm if it would arrive on the next iPhone.

It is reported that the feature would enable users to shoot at significantly higher speeds, which would allow playback at a slower speed, retaining crisp detail.

“Mogul” allegedly captures video at 120 frames per second, while the current iPhone can only capture 30.

Despite claims of the feature on iOS 7, it is not thought that existing devices will gain slow-motion in the future due to hardware limitations.

Previous reports have indicated that Apple could introduce several other new features in the future.

Head-movement controls are among the additions thought to be coming, as well as edge-swipe and corner-swipe gestures, which were displayed in a video purportedly showing “secret settings”.
